Emergency Duty Department and Akuutti24 -service

If you are not sure about the kind of medical care you need, primarily use the Terveysneuvo-service (tel. 03 818 9120) during its opening hours. At other times, use the Akuutti24 -service phone number (tel. 03 819 2385).

1. Medical counselling service for Lahti residents, Terveysneuvo (tel. 03 818 9120)

Mon-Fri from 7.30 am – 8.00 pm
on weekends and holidays from7.30 am – 3.00 pm

At Terveysneuvo, we estimate the urgency for treatment and if necessary direct you to either Päiväpoliklinikka (Daytime Polyclinic) or your local health center or the Akuutti24 emergency duty department.

2. Daytime Polyclinic, päiväpoliklinikka – medical service for Lahti residents

Mon-Fri from 8.00 am – 5.00 pm

Centralized daytime medical care services for Lahti residents is at Päiväpoliklinikka. Päiväpoliklinikka handles e.g. ear- and backpain, respiratory inflammations and sprains. In serious situations, contact the Akuutti24 –service.

3. Akuutti24 – in case of emergency

Akuutti24 -emergency duty department is at Päijät-Hämeen keskussairaala (PHKS, Lahti Central Hospital) at nights and weekends.

Contact Akuutti24 –telephone service (tel. 03 819 2385), if you need emergent treatment at nights or weekends.
