The charge is made for visits on weekdays between 8.00 pm and 8.00 am and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The emergency duty charge is not made if no more than three visits are made to the health centre during a calendar year. The emergency duty charge accumulates up to a payment limit.
The emergency duty charge is not made for patients under the age of 18, for those identified as military veterans, or those who can present a valid exemption card.
