The Lahti region offers a wealth of cultural attractions to suit all tastes and ages, be it concerts, exhibitions, museums or events. Both adults and children alike can choose from a host of activities, including music, art and design, handicrafts or theatre productions.

Musical Experiences at Sibelius Hall
Sibelius Hall, with its unique acoustics and architectural design, is the homep lace of Sinfonia Lahti - Lahti s very own symhony orchestra. Under the direction of conductor Osmo Vänskä, Lahti Symphony Orchestra has achieved international award and acclaim for its mesmorising renditions of Jean Sibelius masterpieces. Sibelius Hall also plays host to light entertainment concerts, with the hall's Finlandia Club showcasing many of the stars of Finnish pop and rock.
Concerts and Events
Concerts can be enjoyed in Sibelius Hall and any one of Lahti's other three quality concert halls, at clubs and during open-air events. Lahti's annual music festival programme includes such events as Lahti Organ Festival, Jazz at the Market Place and Sibelius Festival.
Art
Lahti has a strong foothold in the world of graphics. The International Lahti Poster Biennial at Lahti Art Museum is one of the largest exhibitions in the world of poster art. Also of international notoriety is the International Miniprint Finland Miniature Graphics Triennial. Artist associations are actively at work in the region. Each year, more and more talented artists graduate from Lahti University of Applied Sciences's Institute of Fine Arts.
The Literary arts
The Lahti International Writers´ Reunion and the Lahti Poetry Marathon are organised on consecutive years at Mukkula Manor.
Theatre
Lahti City Theatre is one of the largest professional theatre houses in Finland, both in size and capacity, and in the number of productions and first-nights. The theatre stages 8-11 new plays or musicals each year.
