Youth Services

Youth Services provides activities for free time, supports in the beginning of working life and helps in challenging life situations. Youth work is carried out in various ways at schools as well.

Youth facilities and activities

A variety of free-time activities is arranged at youth facilities across the city.  Along with Youth Services, the activities and events are produced by a multitude of youth associations and hobby groups. There are activities during break weeks as well.

Youth work at school

Youth workers are involved in young people's everyday life during daytime as well. The students of secondary schools know the youth workers of their respective schools, and through theme events, they also get to know the instructors working at youth clubs. The majority of secondary school students have taken part in at least one operational theme event by Youth Services.

Employment services for young people

Employment services helps young people improve their opportunities in working life and clarify their education plans. Through the employment services, a young person can be accepted for a work trial, receive a salary subsidy employment or apprenticeship at a workshop or a company, for example.

Support in challenging life situations

Special support is available for young people in challenging life situations. You can receive comprehensive help in situations related to mental well-being, everyday life or substance use, for example. Young people that have not been accepted into an educational institution or have no future plans can also receive individual support.
