Lahti 20th International Poster Triennial 2017: Prize-winners

At this year´s Lahti Poster Triennial all the three main prizes went to Germany. Poster Triennial is part of the celebration program of the centenary of Finland´s independence.

​This year, the exhibition posters are in four series: ideological, social and cultural posters (category A), environmental posters (category B), a special series on the theme of independence (category C) and commercial posters (category D). The independence series is a special series for designers under 30 for to celebrate the centenary of Finland.

At this year´s Lahti Poster Triennial all the three main prizes, Grand Prix, Tapani Aartomaa Prix and Lahti Prix went to Germany. The winner of the environmental posters´ category is from Poland. A Finnish designer won the special category of the independence posters. The international jury gave also eight honorary mentions that went to Iran, France, Germany, Slovakia and Taiwan. All the honorary mentions, except one, were given to posters in the A category; one honorary mention was given to an environmental posters series of three.

The international jury are: Fons Hickmann, Graphic Designer, Germany, Tomasz Boguslawski, Graphic Designer, Puoland, Parisa Tashakori, Graphic Designer, Iran, Erich Brechbühl, Graphic Designer, Switzerland, Klaus Welp, Graphic Designer, Finland. The chairman of the international jury is Parisa Tashakori.

Lahti International Poster Triennial 2017 is part of the celebration program of the centenary of Finland´s independence.
