Children's cultural background and level of Finnish skills are taken into account in planning and carrying out the activities of child groups. Multicultural early childhood education is based on the general education goals of early childhood education.

Every child who has turned 3 will be issued a personal bilingualism plan. The goal-oriented teaching of the Finnish language (S2) takes place as everyday guidance of children's activities based on action and playing. Early childhood education supports the development of the child's Finnish skills.

The parents are responsible for the development of the child's native language and cultural identity.  The parents are also collaborated with to support the child's native language skills by encouraging families to use their native language, among other things. Teaching of the child's native language is arranged for pre-school children where possible.
