Always call 112 if an emergency involving a sudden illness, loss of consciousness, a life-threatening situation etc. occurs.

Emergency duty

Emergency duty reception operates at your local clinic on weekdays during office hours. Local clinics are open Mon-Thu from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and on Fridays or holiday eves from 8.00 am to 3 pm. Your local clinic is determined by the post code of your home address. You can check your area on the service map.

During evenings and weekends, the Akuutti24 emergency service at the Lahti Central Hospital (PHKS) treats patients who cannot safely wait for treatment at their local clinic the next weekday. If a life-threatening emergency is not involved, please call the Akuutti24 service number at +358 (0)3 819 2385 before leaving.

If you are not sure what kind of treatment you need, please contact the Terveysneuvo call service at +358 (0)3 4108 9420 (local clinic customers) or +358 (0)3 4108 9425 (head health clinic customers) Mon-Thu from 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, on Fridays and holiday eves from 7.30 am to 3.00 pm and on other times via the Akuutti24 service number.

On-call doctors

Accident on-call services operate at the Lahti City Hospital without an appointment Mon-Thu from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and on Friday from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm. Accidents may be suspected bone fractures, sprains, cuts and bruises etc.

On-call dentists

On-call dental services operate at Akuutti24 every day from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm without an appointment. The address is Keskussairaalankatu 7.

Children and teenagers under the age of 18 are treated primarily at their own dental clinic, tel. +358 (0)3 818 4911.

Persons born in or before the 1930s are treated during office hours primarily at the City's own dental clinics, tel. +358 (0)3 818 4911.
