Parking and parking fees

In the city centre, cars are parked in garages.

The Toriparkki parking facility built under the Kauppatori market square has about 600 sheltered and weather-protected parking spots. The entrance to Toriparkki is on Rauhankatu 15

The Siltapuisto garage offers sheltered parking as well. The entrance is on Hämeenkatu 26, and there is also an intersection on Aleksanterinkatu. The house has parking spots for 540 cars.

Lahden Pysäköinti Oy, the company that maintains the garages, provides businesses and private persons with long- or short-term parking for a fee.

All parking areas in the city centre can be found in the parking guide. In the city centre, parking requires a fee.

Parking fees

In the Lahti city centre, parking requires a fee on weekdays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm and on Saturdays from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Parking fees in the city centre are

  • Zone 1: €2.50 for the first hour and €3.60 for the following hours
  • Zone 2: €1.50 per hour
  • Zone 3: €1.00 for the first hour and €0.50 for the following hours (area behind the library)

Ticket machines

Ticket machines primarily accept the following coins: 20c, 50c, €1 and €2. Parking hours requiring a fee and the prices are listed on the P label attached to the ticket machines.

Mobile payment

You can use the services provided by EasyPark and ParkMan in the Lahti area. Make an agreement with the service provider.

You will receive a sticker that is attached to lower right-hand corner of the windshield from the driver's perspective. If you do not have the sticker, you can leave a note on the inside of the windshield explaining that you use a mobile payment service.

Mobile payment covers street and outdoor parking in the city, a total of about 1,400 parking spots. Lahden Pysäköinti Oy has introduced mobile payment in the Radanpää and Moisionkatu parking areas on the south side of the Travel Centre.
