Lahti and the Salpausselkä ridges have a total of around 180 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and several marked hiking trails.

Lahti City Theatre provides a repertory consisting of musicals, both Finnish and foreign classic and modern drama and children’s plays. The number of own new productions per year is 6-9.

The health forest was established near Päijät-Häme Central Hospital in Lahti in the fall of 2023. The health forest has been positively received and is actively used to support psychiatric care, for example.
