Lahti is the European Green Capital 2021
The European Green Capital city of Lahti in Finland has taken on an ambitious method of cleansing its lakes from phosphorus, which causes eutrophication.
Together with researchers from the University of Helsinki, the city is pumping water from Lake Kymijärvi, purifying it, and returning it to the lake.
