The Mayors distribute 120 flowers to the residents of Lahti.
The City Hall Park features side programs for children, and the world’s silliest babysitter, Täti Hattara, leads games, songs, and laughter.
17–18
The seasonal lights of Lahti city center are switched on.
The children’s program continues with a Teatteri Terva concert where not-so-scary trolls go on a trip where the audience can also sing and dance. Lahti Upper Secondary School Gaudea Grand Choir performs the songs Äitien äidit and Finlandia.
18–20
Two performances of Theatrum Olga’s narrative sculpture, which cuts through the city’s history in the arts. Performances are seen at 6 pm and 7:30 pm.
20–21
Music rings out as Lahti’s gentleman rapper, Brädi, performs a congratulatory gig for his hometown. After the gig, there will be an impressively illuminated group dance by Skarabé in front of the City Hall.
21–22
The festive day culminates in a concert by Lahti’s own multi-talented artist, Konsta Hietanen.
