Explore Lanu Park and Public Art
Discover the unique Lanu Park in Lahti’s Kariniemenmäki, featuring 12 of Olavi Lanu’s sculptures seamlessly blending with nature. These works are inspired by his 1978 Venice Biennale collection, “Life in Finnish Forests,” which explores the relationship between humans and nature. While each sculpture is independent, the park forms a cohesive whole, inviting visitors to stumble upon the artworks unexpectedly.
Beyond Lanu Park, you can find Lanu’s sculptures across Lahti. For example, Pikku-Vesijärvi Park features three pieces, and Radiomäki showcases a four-piece ensemble. Malva’s website offers a public art map to help you discover art around the city.
