During the autumn holiday week in Lahti, a diverse program is offered for children and youth. Youth centers have plenty of open activities. In the swimming halls, you can jump and use the Wibit obstacle course. Museums have exhibitions and art workshops free of charge for those under 18 years old. The renewed play area of Laune Family Park opens for the joy of those on autumn break.

Laune Family Parks renewed play area opens on Tuesday

Welcome to the opening of the renewed play area of Laune Family Park on Tuesday, October 21 16-18. Playground equipment intended for older children and youth has been brought to the area: various group swings, balance equipment, and a carousel. Accessibility has been taken into account in the selection of the equipment, but they are suitable for everyone’s use.

Splash and jump in the swimming pools and try the Wibit water obstacle course

The Wibit water obstacle course is open in swimming halls on two Sundays: in the start of autumn break on Oct 19 in Nastola swimming hall 12–18.30 and in the end of autumn break on Oct 26 in Kivimaa swimming hall 8–14.30.

The diving tower at Lahti Swimming Hall will be open the whole week from Saturday to Sunday, Oct 18 to Oct 26, every day f14.30–16.30. At the same time, fitness swimming is also possible.

Two public skating sessions with sticks will be organized at Laune Ice Hall: on 21.10. 14–16, and on 22.10. from 1:30 PM to 13.30–15.00. Public skating sessions without sticks can be attended on 24.10. 10.00–12.00, on 25.10. 8.30–9.30, and on 26.10. 9–10.30.

Free admission to Lahti City Museums and art workshops for under 18s

Lahti City Museums offer activities for visitors of all ages. During the autumn break week, those under 18 have free admission to Lahti City Museums exhibitions and Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva art workshops. Adults can participate in art workshops with an exhibition ticket or with Museokortti. More detailed descriptions can be found on the museums’ websites.

Kaupungin neljän museon näyttelyt, ohjelmat ja Malvan taidepajat ovat maksuttomia alle 18-vuotiaille. Autumn break at Lahti libraries

During autumn break week, Lahti libraries are open and serve as usual. You can borrow fresh music, movies, books, board games, and sports equipment. In the Main Library, you can play console games in the game room, play instruments in the hobby rooms, watch movies, series, or listen to concerts in the TV room of the music department. You can record your own podcast in the studio.
