You are warmly invited to attend a public event to learn about the latest development projects of Ranta-Kartano and the Sports Center. The event is open to everyone and will take place on Tuesday, January 27, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the inner courtyard of Lahti City Hall. Address: Harjukatu 31,15100 Lahti
During the event, you will receive a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects. After the presentations, participants will have an opportunity to discuss the plans in more detail with the planners at dedicated tables. The presentations will be held in Finnish, but you’re also welcome to ask questions in English.
Lahti is planning a campus and sports facilities near the city center
- This year, urban planning is exploring the placement of a university campus in Ranta-Kartano, aiming to create a new-generation university city. Detailed planning may begin after background studies are completed. The project will be done in collaboration with LUT and LAB.
- The Lahti Sports Centre is being developed both for top-level sports events and to promote physical activity among all Lahti residents. Current plans for the area include a new water sports center with a 50 m pool.
- For Kisapuisto Olympic park, three drafts are available for review, and resident feedback is highly encouraged.
Residents will have several opportunities to participate in the planning of these projects in the future. Welcome to participate and develop your own living environment!
