Dinner Under The Sky

The hugely popular Dinner Under the Sky returns to Lahti on Saturday 29.8.2026!
The event will take place at Lahti Market Square and you can reserve either a full table or individual seats at a shared table.

Reserve a Table for Dinner

Registration links will appear on the website on Tuesday 7.7.2026 at 9 am.

Instructions for Making a Reservation

All tables are numbered and can seat 6–8 people. One person can reserve only one table. If you wish to reserve more than one table, each table must be booked separately.

For smaller groups (1–5 people), there are shared tables where you can reserve just one seat if you like.

Please reserve either a full table or a seat at a community table — not both.

Reserving Adjacent Tables

If you’re part of a larger group and want to sit at table next to your friend, please write the name of the other person making a reservation in the “Additional Information” field when booking. This instruction applies only to table reservations. If you’ve reserved seats at a community table, your group will be seated next to each other.

Reservation Confirmation

After booking, you will receive a confirmation email. More detailed instructions and your table number will be sent during the event week, on Monday 24.8.
Make sure to reserve your spot as soon as registration opens — they go fast!

The confirmation email you receive serves as proof of your reservation. Please keep it accessible on your phone or print it out and bring it with you.

Cancelling a Reservation

As this is a beloved event and tables are limited, please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend. Cancellations can be made via the link in your confirmation email until 21.8.2026.
If you do not cancel and fail to show up, a €50 fee per table will be charged.

Please don’t leave your reserved tables unused. If needed, you can cancel using the link in your confirmation email.

How to arrive

The dinner will take place at Lahti Market Square on 29.8.2026, from 6 PM to 10 PM. The Market Square is located at Vapaudenkatu 7, Lahti.

Seating Arrangement

All tables are numbered. When you arrive, look for your assigned table among the others. A table map will be available on at the venue. You can also ask the staff for help locating your table.

Dress Code and Weather Preparedness

There is no official dress code, but festive attire is always a joy to see. Since this is an outdoor event, we recommend bringing something warm and weather-appropriate, including rain protection. The event area is outside.

What to Bring

You’ll need to bring your own food, drinks, dishes, and decorations.

Please note the consumption of alcohol is prohibited at public events. Therefore, please pack non-alcoholic beverages as soft drinks, juice, or mocktails.

Let’s all work together to ensure a pleasant evening for everyone!

Cleanliness and Facilities

Guests are expected to clean up the table. Please take your trash and belongings with you or dispose of them in the appropriate bins. There will be sorting stations for mixed waste, bottles, and cans.

Make sure your group’s waste ends up in the right place.

Toilets will also be available on-site.

Additional Guidelines

Guests of all ages are welcome — from babies to grandparents — but children remain the responsibility of their guardians.

We kindly ask each group to bring battery-operated LED lights (such as string lights or candles) to decorate their table and help create a cozy and fire-safe atmosphere. No electricity will be provided to the tables.

Open flames, including real candles, are not allowed. Smoking is also prohibited in the event area.

Security

Security personnel will be present throughout the event to ensure everyone’s safety.
