Transportation and streets

Environmentally friendly forms of transport, such as walking, cycling and public transport, are a priority in the city, especially in areas prone to traffic jams.

​On 31 December 2015, there was a total of 490 kilometres of streets, 139 kilometres of public and private roads and 403 kilometres of bicycle paths, 141 kilometres of which were designated non-motorised traffic routes.

On 1 January 2016, as the municipalities merged, the total amount was increased by 144 kilometres of streets and 57 kilometres of bicycle paths. Public roads were increased by 189 kilometres.
