The breakfast club offers an opportunity for people with a migrant background and other Lahti residents to meet each other, have breakfast together and listen to different presentations and discuss.
The topic of our Morning Club in March is civic society activities in Finland, more specifically we will hear what kind of support is available for NGOs in Lahti, at the Fellmannia Partnership House. Staff from Fellmannia will share how people with an immigrant background can either start their own NGO or how an already established NGO or association can join existing activities or use available spaces at the Partnership House. The event is open and is free of charge. The conversation is held in Finnish and English.
International House Lahti organises civic orientation courses in several different languages.
In spring 2026 the course will be offered in English, Ukrainian and Arabic.
Courses in other languages can be organised based on the number of people interested.
Civic orientation courses in English will be run in February, June, September and November.
The course offers a unique opportunity to learn about and reflect on Finnish culture, social structure, services, laws, responsabilities and rights and many other things in a multicultural and open environment.
To find out more and enroll in the course visit our service point at the Trio palvelutori, or talk to your contact person at the employment services.
