Immigration work

The Regional Integration Service Point (Alipi) is a low-threshold guidance and counselling service for immigrants living in Päijät-Häme, Iitti, Myrskylä and Pukkila, those planning to move to the area and various operators working with immigrants. Alipi provides appropriate guidance and counselling based on the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration, the aim of which is to guide the client to the necessary services and actions. The service is free of charge. Making an appointment in advance is highly recommended. Interpretation into different languages is available as required.

Alipi’s guidance and counselling service is part of Kotouttamo, which is located at Lahti Palvelutori together with TE Services, the Työpolku project and the immigrant services of the Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing.

In addition to guidance and counselling services, Alipi is involved in various projects aimed at promoting the rapid integration and employment of immigrants in the region.

Social services promoting integration

Reception services, social work and guidance and everyday support for refugees and asylum seekers who have been granted residence permits are provided by the immigrant services of the Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing.
