The city bike season continues into November

Any changes will be announced separately.

All Mankeli city bikes will remain in service until Sunday 8 November 2026. Snowfall or cold weather may bring the Mankeli season to an end earlier.

The bikes will be collected for winter maintenance between 9 and 13 November 2026. The number of bikes on the streets will decrease, but they can still be used during the collection period for as long as they are available at the stations.

City bikes have been in use in Lahti for five years. Cycling on Mankeli bikes has become an established and popular mode of transport in the city. Mankeli bikes have been hired over 350,000 times so far this season, which is comparable to the hire figures for the 2025 season. On average, there have been 4 rentals per bike per day.

As in previous years, the most popular stations have been Trio, Tori, Kauppakatu and Matkakeskus.

Faults can be reported via the Mankeli app

During the 2026 season, there has been more vandalism of the bikes than before, which has made basic maintenance more difficult. The city has focused on quality control during the season and resolved challenges in collaboration with the service provider.

Check your bike before setting off. If there is a fault with the bike, for example due to frost, ice or vandalism, please report the fault via the Mankeli app (Freebike 3.0).
