The workout stairs in Nastola Kirkonkylä are now complete

The new workout stairs in Nastola Kirkonkylä have been completed and put into use. Built on the northern slope between the intersection of Venetie and Ristolantie and Kukkastie, the stairs serve both fitness enthusiasts and local residents and schoolchildren.

The stairs are 2.5 meters wide and have a total length of approximately 42 meters. They have been adapted to the terrain so that the structures are located above the current ground level, and differences in elevation in the surrounding area have been taken into account in the design.

The staircase frame, treads, and handrail frames are made of steel. The top surfaces of the handrails are made of wood, and stair lighting has been installed along them to improve safety and ease of use, especially after dark.

As part of the construction of the workout stairs, the Kukkastie street area was also renovated. The work improved the safety of the crosswalk and the functionality of the bus stop near the new stairs and the Kirkonkylä School.
