Please check the condition of the bike carefully before starting their ride and to report any defects through the app.
Mankeli city bikes have been subjected to an exceptionally high amount of vandalism in different parts of Lahti during the summer. Several bikes have had their tyres punctured, spokes damaged and chains removed. Vandalism weakens the quality of the city bike service and may affect the availability of bikes.
The bikes are maintained continuously, but repairing vandalised bikes takes resources away from regular maintenance. If the vandalism continues, some bikes may be temporarily out of service and the City may need to reassess the locations of Mankeli stations that have repeatedly been targeted.
Users are asked to check the condition of the bike with particular care before starting their ride in order to avoid hazardous situations. Any defects should be reported using the fault report function in the Freebike 3.0 app, so that the company responsible for bike maintenance receives the information about the damaged bike as quickly as possible. If you witness vandalism against the bikes, please report it to Mankeli customer service or to the police.
